#2: ¡Vamos a Aprender!

I admire any person who knows another language, other than their native language. Having the knowledge of multiple languages can unlock doors to endless opportunities. It allows you to view the world in a completely different and new way, and you learn so much more through language.

Having learned more than just my native language, English, I have gotten to experience some of those unforgettable experiences through travel or just chatting with foreign employees at my job... it's amazing what you can learn with even the simplest of phrases.

It can be pricey to learn a new language, whether you choose to take an expensive course, buy books, cassette tapes, the Rosetta Stone system, you name it... $$$! About a year ago I discovered something that immensely helped my bank account and also let's me learn at my own pace and will. It's also FREE, so that made my bank account happy! And another nice thing about it... you don't have to leave the comfort of your home to learn. :)

I would like to extend to you all an invitation to learn, just about, any language you wish... FOR FREE! It's a website called LiveMocha. They offer numerous courses in languages such as English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindu, Portuguese, German and more! There are lots of challenging activities that deal with memory, writing, speaking, and you can also chat with native speakers of the language you are learning (if you wish)!

Now you have no excuse- GO! C'est très facile(Don't understand? GO LEARN SOME FRENCH.)!

#1: El presente es lo único que tenemos

Bienvenidos...

Hello, Hola, Bonjour, Oi, Bonjourno: Welcome to my new blog!

Over the past few months I have had a few friends whose blogs I have been reading and, not until recently, was I inspired to start my very own blog. I very much enjoy reading those of my friends and reading about their thoughts and recent discoveries, and I hope to also provide something of the sort for those willing to read.

Languages, as some would say, are my forte. Love 'em all! Spanish, French, Portuguese, Arabic, German, Italian... you name it, I aspire to learn it. Traveling is another thing I love just as equally, if not more. I've traveled to numerous countries throughout my twenty years of life: Canada, Japan, Mexico, Spain, France, The Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala... Guess I've been lucky.

I just hope to perhaps teach readers a little bit about all of my passions through random, and hopefully intriguing, posts.

Hope to hear from some of you through comments and such, and thanks again for viewing my blog!
